LENTILS Worship

So many flavors full of culture that we can taste in each bite of this powerful Lentils Cooked dish. In Argentina exits The Lentil´s Monday, a typical day for eat this food and it´s a perfect way to fight the winter, but in Perú this day could be everyday. This dish is so popular because is very cheap, oooooh it´s f***in´cheap and is for Folk Town. Therefore most of the people eat this dish because is not expensive, yields a lot of people stomaches and give them the energy that they need for hard work. Lentils is cooked dish that we will always find in most of the Peruvian homes.

So this is part of the Peruvian tradition, but also of the South Latin tradition. South America Ground give us this kind of products, just like several grains, cereals, vegetables and seeds. Mother Nature influences our lands and allow our fields to develop and improve agriculture. Anyway we can find this plant too in Asia, (India, which consume the most), Africa and Occidental Europe.

So, try to imagine a typical Street Market in Perú. Everybody yelling! A beautiful mess. A mix of flavors flying thru the air, that get into our brains... where do f*** I am? and how did I get here? But, this is one of thousands experiences that I suggest people to do. Try this dishes allow us to connect with other cultures. With traditions and different ways to cook. We open our sens and feel emotionally connected with life. We could find this dish for less that $ 2 bucks, but the experience must cost a lot more and it´s free and unforgettable. Next time someone wants to connect with culture, I suggest to get deep with the essence of things. There is the real culture, not what we see when we surf the Internet or Social Networks. That´s real life.
